Jesus taught us to pray, "Give us today our daily bread." Today we peel back all the flaky layers, moving past the crispy surface level into a deeper understanding at the warm fluffy center of this request. It's all about acknowledging God as our provider, confessing our bent toward worry and greed, and showing love for others.

Jesus begins this section with a challenge not to let our religious activities be merely performative, to be seen by others and to gain their approval.
