Chris made his Big League debut just 2 days prior to our recording. We talked all about his call up, his debut and of course his first strike out (which came against an All Star starter). Prior to making his debut, Chris spent 8 years in the Minors. He shares intimate details of his journey to Citi Field.

Before pitching w/the Twins, Brian took part in the US Soccer Olympic Development program at IMG Academy. Eventually baseball won out. Along the journey to his current home in Cedar Rapids he pitched at Boston College, celebrated on the field with the Patriots at the Super Bowl and much more. We even dive in to the Minnesota Twins development philosophy.

This Puyallup, WA native was told NO during his first recruiting visit to Oregon State. In 2016, he was named a finalist for the Johnny Bench award while catching at Oregon State. He tells the story of how he earned the offer. He's one of the best pitch framers in MiLB. He talks about pitch framing psychology and mechanics on this episode.

Chris was the 5th round pick of the Miami Marlins in 2018. He was recently selected to pitch in the Midwest League All Star game. Chris has had to work incredibly hard to get where he is today. He didn't have D1 offers out of high school and struggled out of the gate in 2018. He talks about how he turned things around mid 2018. Chris is trending toward a guy that will make a difference for the Miami Marlins in the very near future.
