Turn out the lights

Listen Later

Turn out the

lights

Honey let’s

make believe it’s still summer, and we’re lying in the sun

Even though

we’re snuggled under blankets cause it’s barely thirty-one

Degrees

Let’s have a

lemonade, maybe a picnic whatever activity you choose

Careful not

to look out the window or you’ll see the tree’s loose

Their leaves

Sooner or later,

I suppose we will have to come to grips

Walking the

doggies outside watching steam rising off of your lips

In the air

Frost is

painted on the rooftops like Rorschach designs

Baby grabs a

blanket, smiles, and waves me over as she reclines We share

A long night

in the fall, a crispness moving in across the city

Those warm

nights with the windows wide open gone. Pity

We sigh

Enveloped in

a warm embrace, thoughts of a summer kiss

Relishing

the lengthy nights, we frolic in glorious bliss

Ooh my

We love

those warm summer days

But we also

love keeping each other warm on cold winter nights

Seasons

change but true love stays

Come kiss me

babe, lets snuggle up tight while I turn out the lights
