Once before a large crowd, I was asked by the sound engineer if I wanted a handheld mic or a lavalier mic that I didn't have to hold.  Since I was unsure of what I said under my breath and was afraid of the crowd hearing it, I chose the handheld mic.  The things we tell ourselves dictate our direction in life.
