Some of the most amazing occurrences in the Bible were only possible because of the mistakes that someone had made. The rescue of Rahab and her subsequent role in God’s plan of salvation for all mankind is a case in point. Had Israel not failed to enter the Promised Land some 38 years before, Rahab would not have chanced upon the two spies that Joshua sent. So was the failure of Israel 38 years prior a mistake?
