Good Morning - Good Morning my brothers and my sisters and welcome to Turning On the Lights! for Thursday January 29, 2026. We have been exploring the fruit of our salvation through the Book of James, but today we veer off and explore the same concept as Jesus teaches it through his interaction with the rich young man in Matthew chapter 19. We may be able to "behave" well without the inspiration of God's Holy Spirit, but we are not able to enter the Kingdom of God lest we rid ourselves of every idol, repent, and turn to Him. We learn this through this story. I pray that it is something that we take to heart. It is Thursday but Sunday is coming!We will see you in church!

Every now and then we take a break from direct exposition and talk about current events. We do that today. Just remember, no matter who says what - Yahweh will work out all of human history as He alone sees fit - for His glory and for salvation for those who will persevere. I know it isn't easy! I know that it can be intimidating! I have been through it all myself - but I am here to tell you one simple fact...The intentionality with which you engage with scripture will be returned to you 10-fold as a blessing by God. HE will drive all of the negative thoughts out of your mind and HE will create the time for you to get engaged and stay engaged with his Word!Trust me! Better yet - TRUST HIM!I am looking forward to another year together of learning, growing, and becoming the disciples of Christ we are meant to be.May God continue to bless you richly and, as always, KEEP LOOKING UP!
