We end chapter 1 and begin to explore chapter 2.Why two accounts? Well, as we know, that is one of the first questions that we ask of any passage of scripture knowing that all scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching. "Why is this here, Lord?" Today we talk about the lies of the Opposer that is tearing apart our culture in America - and tearing apart the church. Dear Christian, you do not have to give in to these lies! You should make yourself aware, soak yourself in God's Word and in His Holy Spirit and live as light in the darkness. DO NOT BE DECEIVED! Live your life as a disciple and let God do the rest. What a special day together. BRASS TRIUMPHANT joins us and leads us in music today - amazing!Today was also a service of the ordinances - The Lord's Supper and Feet Washing. there is a great deal of teaching and preaching about the ordinances as we participate as we are commanded. We then move forward in Matthew 6 and conclude our thoughts on the teaching of Jesus in the very well-constructed chapter. I pray that you expand your thinking regarding the ordinances and about what it means to lay your life down for Jesus the Christ.

What a great morning together as we worship in prayer, in song, in fellowship, and in His Word. Today, Matthew 6 and The Lord's Prayer. We compare it to Psalm 86 and examine the fundamental attributes of this special "oasis of prayer" that our Lord gives to us.
