We are going to find Paul in this section of his letter, praying for the believers in Thessalonica. This is not unusual for Paul, throughout his letters we find Paul offering over 42 different prayers in his letters for the various churches and gatherings of believers with whom he was in a relationship.

They want to harm his credibility to reduce his ongoing impact in their city.  We will follow his example about guarding our impact and influence, especially when we run into some opposition in life. Because what we believe and what we do in the dark can make the light of Christ burn brighter in our lives.
