We have to learn and practice repentance daily. As our character is being refined by the Spirit, we continue turning from the self, crucifying it daily. We have to mortify the deeds of the flesh, as the Spirit empowers our walk. It is that, daily death to self that Paul spoke of, counting all as lost.
