On the 3rd anniversary of the Turnt 30 Podcast launch, Mari Jay open up about the last year and being in a current season of low maintenance. Is it ok do the bare minimum at times and/or just pause? Is that part of the balance of life? From feeling overwhelmed to lack of control, to losing yourself, to getting in your own way, it can all spiral quickly. Tune in as the ladies navigate how to handle life's challenges, let go of overcommitments, and focus on healthy relationships, including the one with self.
Following a much longer than expected season break, Mari Jay jump back into the swing of things. Reflecting on the time off, including how to process life's bumpy roads, and what it means next for the podcast, the ladies take time to thank listeners and friends for riding along. Thank each other for allowing the necessary space to grow individually and grace as their trains ran full speed on parallel but very different tracks. Lastly, a moment to thank self for understanding there is likely never a day where you will feel complete or without a cloud in the sky. Just ensure most days you feel you're learning, with purpose, and/or deserving. Your book can have as many chapters or revisions as it takes. Plus, clouds are typically part of the full sky portrait right? Man...Guess we really are the new adults y'all! Stayed tuned. There is lots of dialogue to come as Mari Jay continue to work through it and in it.
Dear Self- first thing's first, keep it authentic. If that means pause, restart, or change channels, then so be it.
Mari Jay link up during the season break for much needed girl time. Not surprising the conversations went all over the place. Very shocking however, Jay shared her experience getting condoms for the first time, ...yes... in her 30s. Join the ladies for usual antics in addition to prioritizing sexual health, building confidence, and maintaining boundaries. Don't judge our good sis Jay for still coming of age lol. Also excuse our audio as we recorded live in-person and impromptu.
Alexa! Play Jay-Z "Most Kingz". How do we handle the associated guilt trips that come with "you switched up" peer mentality? Have you ever diminished your moment because you worried about someone else's reaction or felt responsible if their insecurities get triggered? While some root for your greatness, we all know too well the looming feeling of some folks being bothered by betterment. And then there's the quiet dark corner we never speak on but put ourselves in when it comes to announcing our achievements. Why do we feel guilty when "we've made it"? Join Mari Jay to discuss their struggles with celebrating happy moments, making important announcements, and feeling worthy of applause.
Dear Self- You deserve happiness and to glow up. Don't forget to give yourself flowers when handing them out.

Another year under our belt for the Turnt 30 Podcast *woot woot*. Time flies is no understatement or joke. As we continue navigating into the mid-30s phase of life, it's felt in short, high-highs and low-lows. After a whirlwind year of personal growth, Mari Jay discuss how they are finding ways to better balance themselves from self-care, work-life balance, relationships, mental health, and on. Adulting is hard and we're just here to share space and build a community.
Dear Self - When the check engine light comes on, it's time to schedule some maintenance. Dig through your toolbox and find what you need to keep going.

Life comes at you fast, amiright?!? And what you thought your life SHOULD look like by now, could be far from your reality. In this episode, Mari Jay open up about dealing with their perceived failures including what happens when you take a risk and fail, or finally get the courage to leave your comfort zone and it backfires. How do you dig yourself out of that rut once you realize you made a mistake? Sometimes you take that leap of faith and it falls flat - we know, we've been there - but what was that Fantasia said, "...sometimes you got to lose, to win again." The road may get bumpy, windy or require you to pivot, but there is always a lesson learned.
Dear Self- There may be some unexpected roadblocks, detours, or re-routing, but your journey is YOURS.
