“The record pressing plant was like, ‘Is this guy dead or not?!’ No one knew what was going on, and then all of a sudden everyone just stopped caring because he wasn’t dead. This dude is just walking around Australia with a fake identity now … I hope that everyone we work with from here on out won’t fake their death. I don’t want to sound heartless and mean, but the dude is legit alive.” – Jenn Lombari on the cons of faking your death in Australia
In this episode of the Turnt Abel Podcast I interviewed the local Rhode Island melodic-punk duo, Stubborn Hearts, about their latest release ‘What Fresh Hell.’ During the interview guitarist/vocalist Jenn Lombari explained the meaning behind tracks like “Bob’s Burgers,” and “The Connection.” Drummer, Doug Metivier, also promoted the band’s upcoming cd release party at the News Café in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on Saturday, October 9th.
Huge thanks to Jenn and Doug for taking the time out of their busy schedules to sit down and do the interview, and for allowing me to use the track “Too Late Now” during this episode. Additional shout out to Jeff Thropp and Evan Grasso for filming and maintaining the camera during this episode.
Be sure to check out Stubborn Hearts’ music now streaming on all major platforms.
