It's obvious that I'm not one of those folks who have casted out Ezra Miller and completely ruled out this film... No, even amid the controversy, this was still one of the most anticipated movies of the year for me. And I made sure I got a small disclaimer out before nerding out to this entire flick. Another go round with the MCU's new trio of heroes, and I'm glad the Girl Power theme is pissing folks off... It's well deserved at this point and with Nia DaCosta at the helm here, I'm hoping this is an fun time. Enjoy, y'all.

I'm not a fan of the whole Five Nights At Freddy's thing, but apparently it's a popular enough property to get it's own horror comedy based on it... There's also another version coming out soon, but Nicolas Cage is the man of the hour here. Unfortunately he's got to spend more than a few hours in this run down place fighting off possessed animatronic animals. I'm not joking, that's the actual plot here. Enjoy, people.

You can't kill something that's already dead they say, and some would argue that this franchise has been long dead since the 2000s... But some creators out there would beg to differ because a reboot is finally on the way. But there's some very important questions, comments, and concerns that I have here. It has to be said. This is another that was recommended to me on Facebook and being as though I had seen a small clip that had me into it, it was a no brainer once I was being super sold on this by an outside party. What I thought was just a creature feature took me COMPLETELY by surprise. Enjoy, people.

I'm not sure if the backstory on Willy Wonka in the Tim Burton remake is to blame here, but I'm curious as to how many people actually wanted to know how young Wonka came up in the chocolate game... I can honestly say I wasn't one of them. But if I'm intrigued about one thing here, it's how Timothee Chamalet will portray this version of the classic character. Risky business nonetheless. With all the yelling and screaming at the screen I do watching horror flicks, whether in my head or out loud, this is one of those movies that speaks directly to me... While there's tons of moments I can and can't relate to, I feel like there's plenty of blueprints here to either survive the horror genre as a black person, or find yourself on the chopping block.
