To know me is to know that I'm a really big fan of creature features/monster movies... Deep Rising, The Relic, Animal, Leviathan, you name it and I'm on it. Especially the ones that utilize practical effects over the CG shit. And being as though I feel there's a shortage when it comes to these types of movies in a modern sense, good ones anyway, I was pretty curious about this. It didn't make as much noise as it should've and maybe that plays into how I do or don't respond the way I do throughout this. But I gave this a fair shot to see if these Antlers stick with me. Yes, I know... It took me entirely too damn long to get this review off the ground, but I had to make sure I had all the points down that I wanted to cover. And after all of that, there's still so much I missed. But if you all are up for another long winded breakdown of a movie that's had my interest since before the trailers, that works as well. Because it was certainly a wild ride and brought the Scream series back home for me after a bit of a disappointing entry prior. Enjoy, folks.

It's been all over the place, but I just had to get back to you all with a reaction here. I went in blind, but I'm definitely interested. Here we have, what appears to be, a modern day period piece exploitation horror flick... If that even made any sense to any of you reading this right now. While I'm not the most familiar with director Ti West, I know he's been very loyal to the horror genre overall, and I can respect that in many ways. Especially since this here was compared to a film like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. That is exactly what brought me here. Oh yeah, and my daughter finally crashed my episode here about 3 minutes in or so, so she almost got a quick glimpse into what I do. So that was pretty cool as well. Enjoy, folks.

I hadn't done one of these in a very long time, so I felt this would be pretty fun... Plus I get sick of all these so called "challenges" that are horror based and seem like such a rookie setup. It's insulting. While there's tons of horror movies I still haven't seen in my life, I'm sure I'm savvy enough to get more than a few of these right. Enjoy, y'all.

The original Don't Breathe is a sure modern classic for me... Fede Alverez put together such a TENSE horror thriller that makes you question who is actually in the wrong once shit starts to hit the fan. The movie honestly didn't need a sequel, but I actually was curious. I know the stakes are always raised when there's a child's life on the line in movies, but that's a double edged sword that can easily be broken to pieces overall. My biggest concern was turning The Blind Man into an Avenger, so I had some concerns here. But I wanted to see what this new director did with the keys Fede Alverez handed off to him. Enjoy, y'all.

Normally I would be binging the series and maybe doing a recap to prepare for the new film this week but funny enough, Scream is the one series I've completely covered on this show... So it's safe to say that I'm MORE than ready for this new entry from Radio Silence. I want to keep guessing, and I want to keep being surprised throughout. My requests are pretty simple here. The rules are very simple here: If you want to be a decent horror franchise and you want me to stick around by your side, just try to keep your shit together... That's all. When you start to derail yourself sequel wise and just have no chance of ever possibly getting back to what invested me in the first place, it's pretty much a done deal. And keep in mind that I'm no uppity movie snob who expects art house Oscar material, but I do expect entertainment value decent enough to thrill me on my worst day. These are the franchises that just couldn't fully pull those feelings out of me. Enjoy, people.

I won't sit up here like I'm the most knowledgeable person when it comes to the works of Agatha Christie, but this is what that reminded me of... The fact that we can still get whodunit flicks in modern times is absolutely amazing to me, and it's a sign that this sub-genre in particular is still very much alive and well. But there's still no excuse I wasn't rushing to the theater or the closest tv when it was avaliable for this one, because the casting ALONE is pure genius. From OGs like Christopher Plummer to newcomers like Lakeith Stanfield, this movie is locked and loaded with star power. But whether this was predictable or caught me by surprise, I'll let y'all find out during. Enjoy, folks.
