The province of Santa Fe is an important agricultural and livestock region with a high level of industrial development. Its main urban centers are Rosario, the third largest city in the country with more than 1,119,000 inhabitants, and Santa Fe, its capital. Significant economic progress has been achieved in the Santa Fe region, supported by agriculture, egg production, and education and research, including the Paraná River Aquarium.
