Gastropods are considered the largest group of mollusks and the only ones that have managed to survive outside of water. Among the best-known are slugs and snails. In this chapter, we'll learn about the African snail, an invasive species that was introduced to Colombia. It has adapted well to its warm climate, and its reproductive and devouring capacity makes it a dangerous species.
