You are about to hear an interview with Kamahl Santamaria. Since this episode was recorded, Kamahl has left Al Jazeera and returned to New Zealand, where he began presenting the Breakfast programme on TVNZ. In May 2022 certain allegations came to light which has since resulted in Kamahl leaving the programme. I wish to make it known that I was not aware of any of the allegations made prior to recording this interview with Kamahl. After careful consideration, I've decided that this chat will stay online, but with an advisory that this was recorded in January 2022, prior to any allegations being made.
With apologies for the slight audio glitches, this interview was recorded on Skype.
The TV Live Podcast is back, and my first guest of 2022 is Al Jazeera's Kamahl Santamaria. Join us as he tells me about how his career in broadcasting began, and the memories of covering 4 US Presidential Elections.

I am delighted to bring you a chat with former TVS and LWT continuity announcer Glen Thompsett. He talks about his beginnings in Independent Local Radio, as well as his time at London Weekend Television, where he describes what happened on the day of the Queen Mother's death in 2002, as well as the final day of LWT just a few months later.

This episode of the podcast features one of the finest voices in British television. Trish Bertram joins me to discuss her career. In particular, she reveals how Fern Britton persuaded her to become a continuity announcer, the day that Princess Diana died, and her final days at London Weekend Television.
We would like to take this opportunity to apologise most sincerely to anyone offended by the inappropriate LWT jingle singing that occurs during this podcast. Just kidding. :)
