Jackson is a talented young singer, songwriter, musician, producer, and engineer who is dedicated to pursuing a full-time career in touring and recording. Despite facing challenges such as being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at a young age and dealing with chronic disfiguring skin conditions like HS (Hidradenitis Suppurativa) and acne conglobata, he has always been transparent about his struggles. Jackson shared his experience with HS during his time as a contestant on American Idol and also delivered a TEDx talk on the topic in 2017.
Join us as Jackson and his mother, Connie, share their journey from Long Island, New York, to Florida, and eventually to Santa Barbara and how Jackson's diagnosis of HS prompted a pivotal move to Santa Barbara in pursuit of a healthier lifestyle centered around eating only whole, organic foods. Serendipitously, this relocation marked the beginning of a remarkable chapter in Jackson's life as it influenced his musical career. Immersing himself in Santa Barbara's vibrant community, he found a nurturing environment that propelled his musical pursuits forward. Jackson and Connie will reveal how this supportive network provided invaluable mentorship and opportunities for collaboration and performances alongside esteemed musicians.
His first album release party will be Friday April 26, 2024 at Alcazar Theater in Carpinteria, starting at 8 pm.
