  • Law & Order: SVU
    **Update to earlier upload**

What's the best crime series on TV? Duh-duh. It's Law & Order: SVU, of course, a series that defied early critics to become the longest-running primetime TV drama in history. And it's still running, 22 years after its premiere, despite losing one half of its very popular leading characters. But as we celebrate Elliot Stabler's return in Law & Order: Organized Crime (and continue to celebrate Olivia Benson's continually strong character arcs on the series), Allison and Kate look back at the character's humble beginnings, when SVU premiered in 1999.

In our latest episode, we explore the surprising names of those who could have played Stabler, research the identity of the man who boasts perhaps the most famous Law & Order monologue, and look back at some great Ice-T moments — and some great John Mulaney Ice-T moments. Plus, not everyone rooted for romance between Benson and Stabler — listen to find out which two characters have a wealth of fan fiction roving the internet about a romance that never was.

  • Project Runway
In 2004, reality TV was in, but it was decidedly out in the fashion industry, which was not impressed with competitions riddled with bug-eating and bad behavior. Then Project Runway arrived. The Heidi Klum-hosted show was a series that showcased true talent and ambition, launching the careers of designers like Austin Scarlett and Christian Siriano, and was the first to make reality TV safe for A-listers, who knocked down its doors in troves to appear as guest judges. But the road to success wasn’t always as clear for the now-iconic series. In this episode, co-hosts Allison Piwowarski and Kate Ward research the uphill battle Project Runway had to be embraced in the industry, including the series’ difficulty casting its judges in an elitist world. Plus, we delve into that corn husk dress, where the season 1 contestants are now, and the warm hug of a human that is Tim Gunn.

  • New Girl
What's that pilot... what's that pilot... it's 'New Girl,' the 2011 series that introduced the world to instantly iconic characters like Schmidt and Nick Miller, and instantly iconic lingo. (Hello, "chut-e-ney.") But 'New Girl' might have given us a completely different set of characters, based on the pitch doc co-hosts Allison Piwowarski and Kate Ward dug up for creator Liz Meriwether's "Chicks and Dicks." Plus, learn about the behind-the-scenes drama from the Prince episode, the most difficult character to cast, and why Kate's issuing a major mea culpa at the top of the episode.

  • Grey's Anatomy
From McDreamy to McDrama. In 2005, Grey's Anatomy surged onto the screen with a new kind of medical drama — one that was feminist, diverse, and, of course, sexy. (The series pilot starts with a one-night stand, after all.) But while the series' tight writing and talented cast brought it instant success, tensions behind the scenes started to brew, causing Grey's Anatomy to make headlines for all the wrong reasons. In the latest episode of TV. Watch. Repeat., co-hosts Kate Ward and Allison Piwowarski dissect the beginnings of Grey's Anatomy, the power of Shonda Rhimes, and the backstage drama that led to some of the biggest cast turnovers in TV history. Plus: Kyle Chandler. Of course.
