Paul Kirk had been involved in football coaching for over 34 years progressing through the Irish FA coach development program from grassroots to his current status of a UEFA pro license coach. He worked for the Irish FA for 12 years as a development officer / manager before managing at senior level qualifying for European football on several occasions. Paul was also a coach educator for many years but has now returned to youth football with TW Braga.
As a player Paul had a successful career representing his country at youth level before winning three league championships with three different Belfast clubs. He also had a spell with Aston Villa, Reading and Oldham before moving south to play for Waterford United. At Waterford Kirk won the FAI Cup.
Paul’s football career has given him the opportunity to play in many European games against teams such as Liverpool and Dynamo Tbilisi. He’s always felt privileged to be part of the greatest game on Earth. Paul is also a keen musician and loves to write poetry.
Ryan is a UEFA European A Licence Coach. His current role is men's U20 Head Coach at Warrenpoint Town and Girl's Academy Manager at Larne FC.
He is a highly motivated and results-driven Football Coach and Manager with a wealth of experience and achievements spanning across Northern Ireland, Russia, China, South Africa , Kenya and the USA.
With a strong background in grassroots, youth and academy coaching, is now progressing up the ranks to coach and manage elite senior first team squads in both the male and female game.
Ryan applies a strong football skillset alongside industry expertise in areas of coaching, talent ID and player development to build high-performance teams with a commitment to achieving success on the pitch, playing a key role in creating a culture of personal development and instilling a winning mentality throughout squads applicable across all age groups, skill levels and international boundaries.
He is a skilled communicator and visible leader who prides himself on his ability to motivate and drive teams from the front. Works effectively as part of a forward-thinking coaching structure that supports the achievement of others and ensures players have the necessary resources available and standards implemented to reach their playing potential each week.
Gary Curneen Is originally from Omagh, Northern Ireland. He gained a Master’s in Business Administration from Wingate University, where he coached the Lady Bulldogs to their first ever SAC Championship and place in the NCAA Tournament. Recently, Gary coached with the NWSL team Chicago Red Stars as an assistant coach.
Prior to Red Stars, he was the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at California State University Bakersfield, the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at University of Cincinnati, and Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Wingate University. He holds a UEFA ‘A’ License from the Irish FA and a Premier Diploma from the NSCAA.
Gary created Modern Soccer Coach to help educate other coaches and provide avenues for coaches to learn from some of the best. He is the author of ‘The Modern Soccer Coach’ series and is dedicated to continuing to learn and evolve as a coach. He urges other coaches to do the same and hopes to provide tools for coaches to grow and learn.
