Hey Survivors! Well, we have come to an end with a new beginning with the announcement of Season 2 of Dead City. Am I the only one who thought that they originally were saying this was just a 6 episode mini-series or something like that? That's what I thought coming in, but after we got into episode 3, it just felt like there was no way they were going to be able to wrap it up, so there had to be more coming. Anyway. 

So with this episode and season finale, we get what the main story is going to be. The Croat, with his lady friend, wanted Negan, based on his reputation, to come in and start a franchise with his persuasion skills to unite the boroughs of New York to protect against the coming threat of the outside, i.e. New Babylon. Because they have methane which is a resource to run civilization off the dead. Maggie gets what she wants except killing Negan, and that she seems to be suffering from bipolar disorder with all the back and forth in almost every scene. One minute it looks like she has a bit of compassion on Negan, knowing what he's going through for all the bad he has done to outright crazy eye Kill Kill Kill. And if this was the plan the whole time, why would she jeopardize Herschel by offing Negan? It just didn't make sense. Anyway, Ginny finally speaks her first words.. the whole three or four of them for the entire season, and Negan basically tells her.. hey I killed your dad now, scram. So whatever that means going forward. This season really just didn't land on the expectations we had for this show. And again, we are rehashing a lot of stuff we have already seen. So it just isn't all that interesting and just leaving us with a big o' Meh for whatever they have for us in Season 2. We hope we are wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.
