Let’s celebrate James Armistead. A double agent in the revolutionary war that helped to secure the victory over the British.

Although these two women came from different places, there is an event that connects them. It’s safe to say that Ella Baker was probably one of the first people to empower Fannie Lou Hamer to join the fight for voting and civil rights.

They were more than just advocates for black causes. They both stood for groups that are often left out or pushed aside. Their stories display courage and love. Listen to find out more!

From yesterday’s episode covering Plessy v. Ferguson and Brown v. Board of Education we are brought to a discussion of blacks and beauty.

Today we are talking about the the 13th 14th & 15th amendments, HBCU’s, Plessy v. Ferguson, and Brown v. Board of Education.

We should all know by now that Black history = American History but for some reason there are still people that want to keep the skeletons hidden in the closet.
