What must it have been like to be the first people to gaze on God himself in the flesh—an innocent baby dependent on you to feed and nurture him? Did Joseph & Mary imagine what for that parenting journey in raising God? Could they have anticipated what the journey to the Cross would be like resulting in new life for all who would choose to follow after Jesus? Last year, our adult children gave us as a Christmas gift this new version of a song we had written, performed, and produced several years ago on an album called The Birth. They reconstructed the original version with each member of our family performing… including the littles at the end. :)

Original music by Eric & Lori True

Produced by Chris True

Performed by Colin True, Chris True, Chloe Gall & Taylor Gall

Special Appearances by Kadin True, Ele True, Hudson True, Judah Gall, Jonah Gall & Benjamin Gall

Mary, you look beautiful tonight as I’m staring at this child I can see he has your eyes From the day you broke the news that we were going to be used To bring life to God’s own Son I couldn’t understand how the Father touched you with His hand But now it’s plain to see That you and I are here tonight To begin a journey planned for us before the start of time You and I will love this child, our baby, born to set men free Joseph, in your eyes I see the joy for this precious little boy We will love him more than life And I pray that we’ll be used to bring forth this wondrous news Our Messiah came to share We’ll build a home that the Father watches from His throne Til His Son is in his arms You and I are here tonight To begin a journey planned for us before the start of time You and I will love this child, our baby, born to set men free

Merry Christmas!

If you're like me, sometimes you face situations that just seem intimidating and you're not sure how you're going to get through them. This worship meditation straight from God's Word will encourage you to hold on to the truth and give you courage to face and overcome anxiety about the future in confidence and peace. Let these truths wash over you as we seek the Lord together and find freedom from fear. You are never alone-He is with you, wherever you go.

Isaiah 41:10 - Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

2 Timothy 1:7 - For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

1 John 4:18 - There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

Psalm 34:4 - I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.

Joshua 1:9 - Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Do not fear for I am with you

Do not fear or anxiously look about

For I am your God for I am God

I will strengthen I will help

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand

For I am your God for I am

I haven't given you a spirit of fear

But of power and love and self-control

There is no fear in love

Perfect love cast out fear

Be strong and courageous

Do not tremble or be afraid

Be strong and courageous

Don't be frightened or be dismayed

For I am with you

Wherever you go, I am with you

You won't be alone

I thought the Lord and he answered me

I sought the Lord and he delivered me

From all of my fears

I've been set free

From all of my fears

“The Goodness of the Lord”

Morning, evening, day by day with every breath

Your lovingkindness walks with me with every step

Sure as the rising sun steady when darkness comes

I am confident of this

You are the stronghold of my life

I’ve never been forsaken

You have been faithful all this time

Constant and unchanging

Today tomorrow and forevermore I know

I’ll see the goodness of the Lord

Mountains, valleys, every season I go through

I fear no evil cuz I can always count on You

Cuz when the day of trouble comes

I know where my help comes from

I’m still confident of this

Take heart my soul

My God is in control

Be still and know

My God is on the throne

I’ll see the goodness of the Lord

in the land of the living

We can wait on, expecting the Lord

We can trust in take heart in the Lord

“Lift up a great shout of joy to Yahweh! Go ahead and do it—everyone, everywhere! Worship Yahweh with gladness. Sing your way into his presence with joy! And realize what this really means— we have the privilege of worshiping Yahweh our God. For he is our Creator and we belong to him. We are the people of his pleasure. You can pass through his open gates with the password of praise. Come right into his presence with thanksgiving. Come bring your thank offering to him and affectionately bless his beautiful name! For Yahweh is always good and ready to receive you. He’s so loving that it will amaze you— so kind that it will astound you! And he is famous for his faithfulness toward all. Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for he keeps his promises to every generation!”

I’m so thankful for your loving kindness… the price that you paid to call me your own and give me a home

You formed me, made me and saw me for yourself

You found me, sustained me, saved me from myself

What I have is so much more than anything I could have hoped for

Who I am in found in you is more than I could ever ask or imagine

Lift up a great shout of joy to Yahweh

Go ahead and do it—everyone, everywhere

Worship Yahweh with gladness

Sing your way into his presence with joy!

And realize what this really means— we have the privilege of worshiping

Enter His gate with praise

Come into His courts with thanksgiving

Yahweh our God

Worship meditation straight from Psalm 91 - A Prayer for Protection

Psalm 91 Worship Meditation

If you make the Lord your refuge Make the Most High your shelter No evil will conquer you No plague will come near your home Take me to your shelter where you live on high I rest in Your shadow, El Shaddai You alone are my refuge, my hiding place My present hope and confidence You are my protector that I run to My true shelter in place, my rescue I won’t be afraid of things in the night No disease in the dark or fears by daylight Your faithfulness is my armor, your promises my shield Though a thousand may fall around me I know I’m safe... with you here You won’t abandon, that’s not who you are I’m fixed on Your goodness and held in your heart You hear my cry in the trial, I’m never alone When I call You will answer, In you I am home You are my protector that I run to My own shelter in place, my rescue If you make the Lord your refuge Make the Most High your shelter No evil will conquer you No plague will come near your home For He will order his angels Protect you wherever you go They’ll hold you up with their hands So you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me Protecting those who trust my name When they call on me, I will answer I will be with them in trouble Rescue and honor them Reward them with long life And give them my salvation.” ‭‭
