  • 7. Ugly Beauty Standards
Sometimes claiming your 20’s means unpacking the schools of thought that have conditioned you to think a certain way leading into your adult life. This episode things get a little personal as Eman and Angela dive into beauty standards, damaging societal pressures, and their experiences growing up leading to their conceptions of beauty and themselves today. Eman and Angela exchange stories comparing the differences of beauty standards in their own experiences, and how both have benefitted from and rejected ideals they have begun to see in their twenties living in the present time.

To round things out, Eman and Angela take answers from their listeners on what makes them feel most beautiful, leading to the conclusion that beauty isn’t just how we physically think of ourselves, but how we treat others in living authentically every day.
