Welp. We did it. We recorded the show again. Our first audio file was corrupted but we recorded again! It's time to preview the Arnold Palmer Invitational and who we like for the week. Andy's playing in the Pro-Am Wednesday and he's NOT nervous. He gave himself a few pump-up speeches throughout the episode. Enjoy!
Busy, busy week in golf. Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau committed to playing on the PGA Tour after rumors of them leaving for the Saudi Arabia-backed league started to fly. This, of course, leaves Phil Mickelson alone as he continues to bad-mouth the PGA Tour. Rory McIlroy voiced his opinion on Mickelson's comments and it was fantastic. Andy and Riley discuss that situation and how they feel the Saudi league stands. Then they dive into a preview of this week's Honda Classic including their favorite picks for the week. Enjoy!
Scottie Scheffler finally got the job done, taking down Patrick Cantlay in a playoff to earn his first PGA Tour win. For the first time since 2015, the 16th at TPC Scottsdale saw an ace, then the very next day, saw another. The WM Phoenix Open delivered yet again, and so did Harry Higgs and Joel Dahmen when they went bare-chest on the 16th green. Charley Hoffman posted a very questionable IG pic and caption, and the boys dive into how stupid he looks. Then it's time for the Genesis Invitational preview. It's one of Riley's favorite weeks of the year. Enjoy the show, everyone!
Jordan Spieth was doing Jordan Spieth things at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am including making par after nearly falling off the cliff on No. 8. It made us nervous watching it live. Tom Hoge won for the first time on the PGA Tour. The boys also discuss Phil Mickelson, yes Phil Mickelson, calling the PGA Tour greedy. Bryson WD due to injury. Harold Varner III won for the first time, too. And finally, the boys preview the WM Phoenix Open in Scottsdale where the field is loaded. Enjoy!
Well, that was one of the best/worst betting weeks of Riley's life. On the bright side, he was up over 8 units on position plays. On the bad side, he lost another outright winner in a playoff. Willy Z couldn't get it done. The boys recap the Farmers Insurance Open, including Luke List's life-changing win. Then they move on to this week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am preview which includes all the players they'll be targeting this week for their cards. Enjoy!
Well, it's tough to be excited about a golf tournament after what happened in the NFL this weekend. With that being said, Hudson Swafford got it done down the stretch in the desert. The highlight of the week, though, was Jon Rahm being caught on video going off about the setup. He was not happy. After a recap of the AMEX, the TOC on the LPGA, and a quick chat about the DP World Tour, the boys get into their Farmers Insurance Open preview. Field, course preview, key stats, betting odds, and of course, their best bets for the week. Enjoy!
Welp, that's about as bad as a beat as you can get. Russell Henley, up 5 shots on Matsuyama going to the back, gets caught by the Masters champ - and Riley lost 3 grand because of it. Other than that, we had a great betting week. Hideki was nails all weekend, shooting 63, 63, including sticking a 3-wood to 3 feet from 276. It's the opening week for the LPGA, and we can't wait. The American Express is loaded. And finally, NBA star Kyle Kuzma joins the show to discuss picking up golf in the NBA bubble, his new video with SKRATCH, and more. Enjoy!
Before getting into Cameron Smith's win at the Tournament of Champions, the boys discuss Tom Watson getting selected as a starter at the Masters. The USGA announced massive changes coming to the U.S. Women's Open, including a lot more money. More than deserved and overdue. Cam Smith went toe to toe with World No. 1 Jon Rahm, and beat him. It was a birdie fest in Maui and it was awesome. Finally, it's time for the Sony Open preview, including Riley and Andy's favorite bets for the week. Enjoy!
On January 5th, Golf Channel will be airing the 'Shorties Classic' where Joel Dahmen, Harold Varner III, Pat Perez, and Harry Higgs play a wolf match at a pitch and putt course down in Texas. Tito's vodka is the presenting sponsor, so you can probably guess how this event went. Harry Higgs joined the T9 boys to discuss the event, the 2021 PGA Championship, getting into the Masters, playing Augusta with his family, and tons more. Enjoy.
After what seems like months, the PGA Tour is back and has made its way to Hawaii for the Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua. 38 of the 39 winners from last season are in the field, the only one not making the trip being Rory McIlroy. The boys preview the tournament, go in-depth on key stats, Data Golf information, and much more to preview the event before jumping into their best bets for the week. Enjoy the show and enjoy the golf this weekend!
