Today we talk about gentleness or meekness. The best way to look at this fruit of the Spirit is to think of it as humility. Humility is something we don’t think about much until we see it’s opposite which is pride and self-centeredness. This week we’ll talk about how God wants to grow humility in us because it’s only as we are humble that we are truly the most like His Son. This is typically a busy time as folks attend graduations and end of school events and it’s really cool that you would join us as we pursue God together.Our “Time To Grow” series takes a turn this week as we start talking more about how the Spirit of God works through us to express the nature of God to our world. We begin with kindness. God wants us to develop the kind of attitude where acts of kindness are not random, but rather are planned, prioritized and carried out regularly. It’s great to do acts of kindness that are random, but it’s even better to act out of a heart that is overflowing because we’ve experienced the kindness of God.It’s my prayer that we would all grow in this area of kindness, because our world needs more people who are willing to step out and extend a helping hand to others.Growing in kindness with you,Pastor Ron

I have spent my week thinking of Chapstick for my lips, binder clips for my tongue and meditation on God’s love for me through Jesus. What a great Mother’s Day! Hello Friends! MOM – we celebrate you today!!! We pray that you walk out full of hope and encouragement for the role you have in our world. We pray that every one of us children would see our moms with fresh eyes. We pray that everyone who feels sadness at this time of year would leave here a little lighter than when you came.Last week we began our “Time To Grow” series with some clear teaching on how to let go and quit trying so hard in our own effort to be what God wants us to be. Today, we look at LOVE. Kimberly Thompson, my wife, will be our speaker. She is a woman of deep faith and, just like all of us, wants to grow in her ability to love.Thanks to all of you who prayed for me and my family as we walked through the death of my dad. My mom asked me to express how much she appreciated your prayers and support for me as I went home to Oklahoma to celebrate my dad’s life.Growing with you,Pastor Ron

Hello Friends! We can’t even begin to describe how thrilled we are that you chose to be here with us this weekend. Today is the kickoff for our new series, “Time To Grow.” This series began in my mind a few months ago when I had a season where I found myself not responding to life’s challenges in the way I know God would have me respond. I told my wife, “It’s time for me to grow again.”I also realized that growth requires time and therefore I needed to devote the right amount of time to grow if I was going to grow. I pray each of us will choose to devote the time to grow. I want to thank Pastor John for stepping in for me today in my absence. My dad had his second heart attack in a week on Easter evening and went to heaven. I’m spending time with my family in Oklahoma to celebrate his life. Welcome! Happy Easter! We can’t even begin to describe how thrilled we are that you chose to celebrate Easter at Twin Cities. We know you had many options for what you would do on this day. We’re so grateful that you chose to spend it with us.It’s our desire in the brief time we have together that we all experience the incredibly important message that Jesus Christ is RISEN from the dead! As we’ll see today, He’s undead, and it just makes sense that you would want to pay attention to anyone who’s undead; someone who doesn’t just claim to have power over death, but actually has His resurrection from the dead as a historical reality.At Twin Cities we diligently work to present the message of the Bible in ways that are creative, life-impacting, and clear to understand. Easter shows us that God provides all we need when it’s time to grow.Jesus is Risen indeed!
