“Go after that weird thing you want to do.” –Chuck Olsen
Chuck Olsen was one of the internet’s first video bloggers and today is the co-founder and CEO of the Minneapolis-based virtual reality company Visual.
Chuck is arguably the go-to person for all things virtual reality in the Twin Cities, and his company made headlines recently after releasing a 360-degree video app with music-streaming giant Rhapsody.
He forged a successful career in early internet technology, working several years for Twin Cities Public Television (TPT), and then went on to form a citizen journalism non-profit called The Uptake.
With Visual, Chuck has collaborated with the likes of the Minnesota Lynx, Mall of America, the University of Minnesota, musician Talib Kweli, and the Newborn Foundation, among many others.
Chuck opens up about his passion for using virtual reality as an engine to promote social good and talks about a recent trip to China with a local non-profit.
He provides a clear and vivid glimpse into the future of how virtual reality will be integrated into our daily lives and explores several industries already utilizing the technology.
And he called me the Podmaster!
Enjoy!
