Captain Kirk (Prime Timeline) analysis.

When people think of Star Trek, the main character of the Original Series, Captain James T. Kirk immediately comes to mind. The actor who portrayed him for over 25 years also comes to mind, William Shatner. Just in time for Captain Picard Day (June 16), Paramount+ decided to entice fans with a brand-new teaser trailer and a teaser poster to whet the fans’ appetite for the 2022 return of Star Trek: Picard. We finally got to see John de Lancie returning as Q in the flesh for the first time since 2001’s “Q2” on Voyager, and we got a sense of where the story will be heading. LGBT representation in Star Trek.

Since Star Trek: Discovery introduced the first same-sex couple in the characters of Lieutenant Commander Paul Stamets and Dr. Hugh Culber in 2017, LGBTQ fans of Star Trek finally got a couple they cared about and finally got accepted for who they were.
