📖 Sermon Title “Paul Speaks to the Ephesian Elders” – A Sermon on Acts 20:17–38
📝 Sermon Description
In Acts 20:17–38, Paul gathers the elders of the church in Ephesus and gives them a deeply personal and solemn charge. Looking back on his ministry among them, Paul reminds these shepherds of his humility, perseverance, faithfulness in proclaiming the whole counsel of God, and unwavering commitment to the gospel of God’s grace. Looking ahead, he warns them of dangers that will threaten the church and calls them to watch carefully over themselves and the flock that the Holy Spirit has entrusted to their care. Paul’s farewell reminds us that Christ’s church is precious, purchased with His own blood, and that those who lead and serve the church must remain faithful to God’s Word, guard against false teaching, and entrust themselves and God’s people to the grace of God.
