Twisted and tangled

Listen Later

Twisted and tangled

There’s been too many days began, with sunshine and a plan

Only to crash and burn and then get tossed in the garbage

can

Like going fishing with a fancy rod, best one listed all new-fangled

First cast  hit the

trees, lost my grip, it was all twisted and tangled

Tripped and landed on my knees, too many times trying to

please

Love she gets me so hot but in the blink of an eye she can

freeze

Like a wrestling match I get body slammed and blind punched two

fisted and mangled

I saw a pretty home, a perfect pair till a tornado hit my

heart and left it twisted and tangled

Simple’s always good, hell a Zebco’s easier to cast,  expensive fancy ones never last

Summer always seems like the best time of the year, but it

goes away too fast

He listened to her words but no matter how she pleaded and

persisted and angled

He remembered all the days with sunshine and a plan that

ended all twisted and tangled
