This month--with Mercury in Virgo--Scot regales us with one of his very favourite stories: The Search for the Holy Grail (the real one, not the one by Monty Python).
It's a wild tale of magic, holy objects, and chivalry: all the things that make for a great story!
So join us as we learn about Sir Lancelot the Ladies Man, Sir Galahad the Christ Figure, Sir Bors the Obscure, and, of course, King Arthur and the Holy Grail.
Sorry for the late upload! This month, the blokes return to Aristotle's Metaphysics. We cover matter, form, and concrete being, as well as one of Aristotle's several criticisms of Plato's Forms.
This month (with the sun in Cancer), Scot introduces us to the long and interesting literary history of Robin Hood.
In part three of our study of Aristotle's Metaphysics, we finally get to the Metaphysics!
We begin with Book 6, which asks what kind of science we can use to find the causes and principles of being qua being, after which we begin Book 7.
In Book 7, Aristotle wants to establish what he means when he talks about being.

This month the blokes return to Aristotle.
Dimitri runs us through the rest of Aristotle's "Categories", laying out his thoughts about the categories themselves. We end with some initial thoughts about Aristotle's method, and how it fits into Dimitri's project.

This month Dimitri begins his exposition of Aristotle's Metaphysics, although we don't begin there.
We need to begin first with Aristotle's Categories, a little book wherein the philosopher seeks to categorize (this is where that word comes from) every Thing.
This episode is a little short, because poor Scot was drugged up on pain killers, but we get a start in before Scot's higher reasoning faculties begin to shut down.

This month Scot tells us the story of Crunncu and the Horse Maiden, an ancient Irish myth.
From there the conversation wanders from environmental anxiety to the function of art.

The blokes sit down this month to discuss the philosophical questions, presuppositions, and goals that are animating us these days.
