Long time no listen, creeps! Welcome back to our regularly scheduled episodes! We're kicking off our return with a little diddy all the way from Japan. Yotsuya Kaidan, is perhaps the most well-known ghost story in Japan, and in this episode we do a retelling of the legend while providing some history and cultural context . The story of Yotsuya Kaidan has been a huge inspiration for the genre of Japanese horror, and the main character of the story has inspired such characters like Samara from the movie The Ring.

We cover Leap's ancient and bloody history then we discuss the ghosts that are believed to have been produced from the fortress's dark past.
