Two Drink Cinema

Recorded live at our Halloween screening event at Pride Of Our Footscray!

Nightmare 2 is widely considered the gayest slasher film of all time. Hear us dissect why that is and whether it's homoerotic or in fact homophobic. We've got theories, some are wild, some are a stretch, some are irrelevant.

Our next Live Screening is Can't Stop The Music - 3rd November. Tickets on sale now.

Batman and Robin for Pride Movie Night. Saw to start October for Lee. Brett watched Agatha All Along and the wrong version of Moana.

There's other stuff too, as well as a tangent about great TV we haven't watched and a possible spinoff podcast.

Our Top this month (because of Nightmare on Elm Street 2 and Interview With The Vampire) is "Uninentially Gay Movies" or "Movies Where They're Not Gay But They Really Are" - nominate your picks on our socials.

It's 30 years since the biggest Disney movie of the millenial generation was released. One of the highest-grossing films for Disney, animation and big cats. One of our favourites and we had a lot of fun chatting about it.

It also led us to put the call out for the Top 5 Films Adapted From Shakespeare. What's yours?

Our first live event at Pride of our Footscray and we watched and reviewed the camp classic Hairspray from 1988. The original John Waters version is not as family-friendly as Lee's favourite, the 2007 musical version, but the night was plenty of fun for everyone.

Our next live event is October 3rd at Pride, screening Nightmare on Elm Street 2.

Sorry about the sound issues late in the episode too.

We've been to the cinema again (this time separately) to see The Fabulous Four and Alien: Romulus. We chat about that and also the issues with cinema crowds. Brett's also been to 'the theatre' to see Six so there's plenty to talk about there.

Lee's rewatching The Games from the Sydney Olympics and he's back on The Voice and Brett's finished off The Umbrella Academy.

After reviewing Bros and Four Weddings And A Funeral, we thought we'd dedicate an entire episode to the RomCom and it's most annoying and frustrating elements.

Bros starts our month of frustrating RomComs. Apparently the first major studio queer romantic comedy, and Love, Simon doesn't exist?
