Two Dudes reboot their Digivices to revisit Digimon: The Movie (2000) with friend of the pod, Courtney Jessup! At the turn of the millennium, Digimon emerged as a rival to Pokémon, boasting its own video games, trading cards, and a beloved TV series. Roughly translated from three separate shorts, the 2000 cinematic feature loosely bridges the first and second seasons of the show, but does it hold up in hindsight?

Two Dudes revisit dust off their shells and shoes to revisit A24's Marcel the Shell film. Based on the early internet-sensation of the same name, this 2021 film brings back the series' original creators in a stop-motion adventure. Directed by Dean Fleischer Camp and featuring original Marcel voice Jenny Slate, the anthropomorphic shell with shoes remains as charming and big-hearted as ever.

Two Dudes are joined by cartoonist Madeline Horwath to discuss Studio Ghibli's seminal classic, Grave of the Fireflies (1988). Directed by Isao Takahata and released the same year as My Neighbor Totoro, this film strikes a markedly more somber note as it follows two siblings orphaned during WWII. Considered by many to be one of (if not) the greatest animated films of all time, this devastating meditation on the human cost of war is a must-see.
