We’re on location again, but this time it’s less exciting. Recording in the restaurant for Podsgiving didn’t really pan out, so this episode was recorded in the parking lot. Since Thanksgiving is this week, we’re recording early which means we weren’t able to recap all our shows as usual. Next week will be packed with double recaps, so stay tuned! We were able to discuss last week’s episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills where the now iconic, but also annoying, “name ‘em” occurred. We don’t want to throw around allegations, but we have to agree with Kyle about Sutton. Something is definitely going on with her in the wake of Magic Mike and Elevatorgate. Dorit and Kyle also talked about how it’s been a difficult year for both of their marriages, but we feel like Dorit and PK still have the love unlike Kyle and Mauricio. Has Mauricio’s work created more of a divide, or is it more Morgan Wade? 

In the wake of Pax Jolie-Pitt’s scathing, leaked Instagram post from 2020, we give our take on Brad and Angie. It’s been quite some time since the alleged plane incident that solidified their separation and eventual divorce, but it’s clear there are still some hard feelings from the kids. This made us think about the personas of celebrities vs what’s actually going on behind closed doors and with their personal relationships. Watching Real Housewives of Salt Lake City inspired Ailish to read Heather Gay’s book Bad Mormon. Hannah previously read this book, so this led to an unplanned, mini Book Club! Hannah also recently read Madison Beer’s book, The Half of It. Madison Beer hasn’t been able to fully break into the industry like she probably wishes, so we brainstorm some ideas on how she can skyrocket her fame. This episode started on a very sad note as we learned our favorite DWTS contestant, Barry Williams, was voted off the show. After his most amazing dances yet, our beloved Barry somehow earned less viewer votes than Harry Jowsey. We have a sneaking suspicion that the judge’s votes mean nothing and that Barry was robbed! As you may have seen on TikTok, we were also shocked by Gerry’s decision to give a rose to Theresa over Faith. Watching the Women Tell All was heart wrenching because of Faith’s raw emotion and honesty to the fans and Gerry. From here, we feel like Leslie has to be the final choice, but Gerry is throwing us some curveballs! In Beverly Hills, we catch up with the ladies in Las Vegas as they head to Magic Mike for Crystal’s birthday. Unfortunately, Sutton ruined the vibe and Garcelle and Kyle fed into her vie for attention. We can’t really get a good read on Sutton, or how this season is going to go in general.

In addition to the reality recaps, we also talk about how our bodies are doing weird things now that we’re 30, Jack Harlow’s strange charm, and the upcoming holidays. We’ve moved to Fridays! Hopefully, you didn’t miss our announcement and wonder where we were Wednesday morning. Starting this week, we’re coming to you on Friday to help you roll into the weekend! As everyone knows, Britney Spears launched her memoir, The Woman in Me, this past Tuesday. We couldn’t wait to get our hands on it and were ready to discuss all the insights Britney offered. While many of the juicy details were in the media before the book’s release, we feel a certain Kevin Federline era was glossed over. He was one of the main factors that led up to Britney’s breakdown in 2007 because he was continuously keeping their children from her, and yet, there was no mention of his antics in the press this time around. One thing we were disappointed wasn’t detailed more in the book was Britney’s early career. It would have been amazing to hear the ins and outs of the industry at that peak time, but maybe we’ll just have to wait for part 2…

October is coming to an end which means we’re wrapping things up with another Book Club episode! This month, we read Hey, Hun by Emily Lynn Paulson and we hope you were able to read along with us. We’re fascinated with the Multi Level Marketing (MLM) culture and enjoyed the insight Paulson was able to provide. While there were some areas of the book that seemed a little self-serving, we thought Paulson did a good job of sharing her experience and shedding some light on a shady profession. Hey, Hun got us thinking about people we know who were involved in MLMs, how the industry targets the somewhat vulnerable stay-at-home mom population, and how these types of jobs have evolved over time. Do you have any experience with an MLM? We’d love to hear your take!

When we recorded this episode, we were getting ready to attend an Emo Night and had a little pre-game! This was our first night out together in a long time, and Hannah’s first official night out since having her youngest son. We weren’t sure what the vibe would be, but wanted to have fun regardless! In between shots of tequila, we discussed the feud between Theresa and Kathy on the Golden Bachelor. While this might be an unpopular opinion, we see where Kathy is coming from and don’t really trust Theresa. Kathy definitely should have handled the confrontation a bit differently, but we feel like Theresa gives off pick-me and that she’s playing too coy. Our slight obsession with Special Forces continues and this was the episode everyone was waiting for: the one where Tom gets beat up. We still don’t think Tom is fully understanding or showing remorse for Scandoval and were glad the DSs called him out. Both of us also make racy confessions about some of the challenges the recruits faced in this episode.

Everything is back to normal this week as we record our 35th episode. RHOC comes to an end with Part 2 of the reunion, and to no one’s surprise, Heather still comes out the villain. Despite her clarifications and display of facts, the ladies continue to hold her to a higher standard. Gina may be the only housewife vocally expressing her conflict with returning next season, but we have a feeling Heather is getting ready to make a move. Even though Shannon chose to die on the “I’m not apologizing” hill, we did feel real sympathy for her regarding her relationship with John. It’s clear she’s dealing with a lot, but trying so hard to hide it from the cameras only made the situation worse. In the end, this cast compared themselves to a sisterhood and expressed their love for one another even though their actions this season painted a much different picture.

In this episode, we also discuss our disappointment with this week’s episode of Special Forces, Heather Dubrow’s appearance on The Viall Files, Taylor and Travis’s hand holding, and the sneak preview of House of Kardashian from Speidi’s 16th Minute. We had some technical difficulties this week, but are forging through! We start off our conversation by discussing the looping holiday season. The nostalgia and idea of family gatherings are great, but in reality, they end up causing more stress than they should. Does everyone have this problem? We also dive into Part 1 of the RHOC reunion. This episode brought a lot of the same: Tamra and Shannon not taking accountability for their behavior, Heather being blamed for everything, and Jenn having to defend her relationship with Ryan. Hopefully, we get more resolution in Part 2, but we’re not holding our breath! All the talk about Life 360 and kids and social media on this episode got us thinking about what the future would be like for the younger generations. Hannah shared her thoughts on the idea of tracking her kids or allowing them to have social media when they’re older. With how fast things are changing, it’s really difficult to know how things will be 10 years from now. What will the new technology be? Another month in the books for our Book Club! For the month of September, we’ve been reading Daddy Diaries by Andy Cohen. While this book wasn’t one that we felt warranted a lot of analysis, we both still really enjoyed it. It was nice to read something a little more lighthearted after last month! (If you listened to the Mean Baby episode, you know what we mean.) This book gave us a fun and honest look into a year in the life of Andy Cohen and we really appreciated his transparency and vulnerability. He told of his year in a way that kept you engaged and laughing during one entry, and nodding your head in agreement and solidarity the next. If you’re a Bravoholic like us, you’ll definitely enjoy this one!

We also talked about the collab between Alex Cooper/Call Her Daddy and Alix Earle. We listened to both podcasts and tried not to let our jealousy get the better of us. Alex Cooper: can we please be a part of Unwell too?? We liked hearing a softer, more vulnerable side to Alix Earle in the Call Her Daddy episode, but don’t think we’re the target audience for Hot Mess. What are your thoughts of these two media forces teaming up? Speaking of forces, we had to circle back to Scientology in the wake of the Danny Masterson aftermath. We contemplate Scientology’s seeming obsession with celebrities and just how many of the wild Hollywood rumors are actually true. To wrap things up, we recap the last two episodes of RHOC. Tamra is on a rampage and needs to be stopped! We don’t know how Heather made it through the season and were again disappointed by the behavior of Emily and Gina.
