Kavaun educates his dad about the Lions NFL playoff chances and the two debate how success should be measured for the 2022 Lions. In this pod, I challenge Kavaun to EXPECT a Lions playoff berth as he sidesteps getting his hopes up too high. After winning five of the last six, It's no surprise that Kavaun defends Lions coach Dan Campbell and Nick continues to question his unconventional in-game decisions. Kavaun has been defending Lions coach Dan Campbell all season and after a 1-6 start he believed the Lions would be proven wise for sticking with him at least three seasons. Predictably, Nick plays the role of the middle-aged jaded sports fan in the face of Kavaun's hope and optimism. The two superfans talk about some college football playoffs and try to come to grips with the reality that their rival Wolverines might just win it all. The last few minutes shift back to more Lions talk.

Before we board our flight to watch MSU play at Washington, Kavaun makes his college picks, leads listeners on a deep dive into the stats behind his predictions and he gives listeners his defense of the Detroit Lions opening week performance. Kavaun won't admit the Tiger's season is a failure, he loves Jaden Ivey for the Pistons draft pick and he thinks the Lions will double their win total for next year.
