On the Season 2 premier, Bill "Bullet" Matusz joins the guys and talks about his Woodbridge, New Jersey Hall-of-Fame career. Bullet was an all-state pitcher at Woodbridge High School in the early ‘60s before leading Seton Hall to its first-ever College World Series in 1964.
In 1966, the Atalanta Braves drafted Bill in the 51st round of the inaugural MLB draft. After an initial season that saw great success - including a no-hitter in A-ball and being elevated all the way to AA- tragedy struck in the off-season when Bill lost sight in his left eye while working in his uncle's automotive shop- ending a promising professional baseball career.
But Bullet returned to the mound years later, pitching in a men’s hardball league in New Jersey well into his 50s.
