Sheletta pays tribute to legendary Leah Chase by telling Lindy a heart warming story about the day she met the world famous Creole chef and she literally gave Sheletta the fur coat off her back. Later in the show, the ladies talk about a big community they've planned that honors the life of film maker John Singleton.

Laura Oakes recently did a one hour special on WCCO Radio about the power of music.  Sheletta confessed to Lindy how hearing one of her favorite songs on the radio while driving to work stopped her from slashing one of her co-workers tires.  Who knew Doug E Fresh and Slick Rick's hit 1985 rap tune Lodi Dodi would keep Sheletta from becoming a vandal.

To honor the legacy of Academy Award nominated film director John Singleton, Sheletta & Lindy are organizing a blood pressure screening event just in time for Father's Day.  On Friday, June 14th they want women to bring their dads to a coffee house in St. Paul to get checked out by the ladies of Black Nurses Rock and have lunch with them for free.

Where are we really from? Lindy says her family is from Cleveland but her roots go far deeper than Ohio. She wanted to know more about her family's history so she called her good friend Dr. Gina Paige, co-founder of AfricanAncestry.com to find out more about her history. The ladies had the tearful and heartfelt reveal on the show. Of course, there were some laughs to go along with the crying!

A frightening story out of Los Angeles of a woman trying to abduct a little four year old boy hit too close to home for Sheletta. Earlier this week, she reveals to Lindy that a strange woman in St. Paul tried to snatch her son Daniel out of his stroller. It's a cautionary tale of stranger danger for any parent with small children.

The world was rocked by the sad and sudden death of prolific film maker and story teller John Singleton caused by uncontrolled hypertension. Sheletta and Lindy are using this as a reminder for men to take control of their blood pressure. The ladies have decided to partner with barber shops to educate men about living healthier lives.

Sheletta and Lindy are still on cloud nine after attending Dr. Verna Price's annual Girls In Action fundraiser. The Michelle Obama banner that Sheletta had on her home during the First Lady's visit to Minneapolis sold for several thousand dollars during a live auction at the event. Later in the show, a funny mom gets serious about a new comedy gig at Mall of America.

Sheletta and Lindy give their opinions on the guilty verdicts in the murder trial of former police officer Mohamed Noor.  The ladies also discuss the record $20 million settlement the City of Minneapolis paid to the family of Justine Damond.
