     Season 4 Episode 5 – Mental Health & Stigma

This week’s episode finds Denise and Martin talking about mental health, hypnosis and the stigma which is sometimes attached to both of these subjects.

People often talk about their physical health and are happy to do so. When it comes our mental health though, people are far more reserved. This is in part due to the stigma that surrounds mental health issues, yet we all have mental health, just as we all have physical health.

As well as giving their insights as practising hypnotists, Denise offers insights into these subjects as a retired medical doctor, and Martin form the perspective of being someone who trains people in Mental Health First Aid.

It makes for an interesting and varied show this week. As ever though, this episode has no set structure, and their conversation goes all over the place. It’s a bit like eaves dropping on a conversation between two professional friends, who are both passionate about their topic.

Hosted by Denise Billen-Mejia in Delaware USA and Martin Furber in Preston UK. They each have their own respective practices on either side of the Atlantic, and this show is their weekly Zoom call, turned into a podcast.
