In this episode, we had the great opportunity to interview Dr. Chris Croft, Assistant  Professor of Sport Management in the School of Marketing in the College  of Business and Economic Development at the University  of Southern Mississippi. We talk to Dr. Croft about NIL rules, security at stadiums, and college sports in general. Also, Kansas and Virginia are out of the conference tourneys, what does that mean for March Madness. We also talk about some significant issues with Kansas sports. Lastly, our football and basketball picks! Bring on the Madness! 

In this episode, we talk with Dylan Cannon, the director of compliance at Sam Houston State University. We talk to Dylan about SHSU playing spring football and a full schedule, including going into the playoffs. We also talk about how SHSU has dealt with COVID restrictions and still been able to have a great basketball season. Lastly, SHSU is moving to the WAC and ultimately has a goal of becoming an FBS football school! We also give an update on the Georgia Tech NCAA penalties that have been dropped and reduced. We also give an update about the NCAA Supreme Court Case and how the student athlete's lawyers responded to the NCAA's opening brief. 

In this episode, we talk about Congress' proposals for new NIL rules. Essentially, Congress wants to not have any regulations on student athletes earning money of their name, likeness and image. How will that be regulated and what will the fallout be of no NIL restrictions. Also, March madness is right around the corner, and we go over the contingency plans for if schools have a COVID outbreak. What teams will fill the spots voided by a team that can't compete due to a COVID outbreak. Lastly, we talk about rule violations at South Carolina and Georgia Tech. What are the violations and what should these schools have done differently to avoid the violation? 

In this episode, we interview Michael Swets, the director of basketball ops for USC. We talk to him about USC's rise to becoming a dangerous team this year in basketball and how USC is getting ready for a deep run in the PAC12 tourney and March Madness! We also give an update in the Louisville recruiting scandal case that will now go through IARP, rather than the NCAA infractions committee. Also, the recruiting dead period has extended through May 31, of this year. Has the "dead period" helped or hurt schools? Lastly, we talk about how the NCAA will now allow 25% capacity. Great news for fans and spectators! March madness is right around the corner!

In this episode, we interview Conor McCullough, a former NCAA champion in the hammer throw, and an olympian in the 2016 Rio Olympics. We talk to him about his journey between his time at Princeton to USC, to winning the national championship, to understanding why hammer throwers always grunt when they throw! His story is truly inspiring! We also give updates regarding two cases that involve the NCAA. In the case between the former West Virginia football players versus the NCAA, the players have alleged that the NCAA cannot limit the players from making money off their name, image and likeness. The NCAA responded by implying that if the ruling from the lower court is upheld, it will lead to a blurring of collegiate and professional athletics. In the second case, the NCAA has moved to dismiss the HBCU class action lawsuit alleging discriminatory practices against by the NCAA against traditionally HBCUs. The NCAA alleges that not only do they provide grants - last year $19mil - to help traditionally HBCUs, but the NCAA also allows flexibility in enforcing the rules and routinely grant waivers. Lastly, we talk about how Valparaiso University dropping the “Crusaders” nickname/mascot. Enjoy!

Brad, a friend of the show, talks to us about COVID protocols within the ASU basketball and football programs and what ASU is doing with the pending NIL rule changes.
