KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has implicated two MPs in wrongdoing during his testimony at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry into criminality and corruption in the justice system. He accused National Coloured Congress leader Fadiel Adams of accessing and misusing classified intelligence without authorisation, bypassing proper parliamentary channels to make unverified claims that led to an arrest in crime intelligence. Mkhwanazi also accused DA MP Dianne Kohler Barnard with abusing her role by publicly disclosing secrets, inciting attacks on the unit and flouting oversight rules over a controversial R22 million Durban property deal. Both deny the allegations. The Commission resumes today at the Brigitte Mabandla Justice College. Elvis Presslin spoke to DA MP, Dianne Kohler Barnard
