First, let us apologize for the Audio quality in this episode. Scott it traveling and forgot to bring some of his equipment. Secondly, as if we had some responsibility for it, let us apologize for the dismal performance of the team we love. They are hard to love. Alex and Scott go as far as to refer to memes in this episode. Alex’s kicks off with his one cool thing and Scott finishes with his, so there are positive bookends to this one, at least for some people, It’s no surprise that the GM and Coach remain on the “firing line” for us, but we work hard to find new ways to approach it. 10 points is not good enough to beat anyone.

Are Scott and Alex happy that the Dolphins beat the Patriots? Of course they are, they’re Dolphins fans. Do either of them think it means anything? Alex does, with caveats. Scott, well… listen in to find out. More analysis in this episode than in the last few. Scott shares most of his notes as they are written, from the first half of the game. Both fly off into tangential conversations, but all fit the themes, messages, and topics of the podcast. There are some positive nuggets sprinkled on top. Alex and Scott head back into the studio “the day after” the last Dolphins Debacle against the lowly Titans. They discuss elements of the game, the performance of the units and players, the coaching, and the construction of the team which might be the most disappointing in Dolphins history. The sarcasm flows, and might produce some laughter. At the least, it should be thought provoking. Do the Dolphins have any chance to go into New England and beat the Patriots? In this weeks episode, Scott and Alex don’t spend a ton of time analyzing the Seahawks game. Watching it was painful. The Dolphins have both short and long term issues. Our hosts examine the team and the primary flaws in it. Cause and effect. Long term strategy. Who are the key contributors to this team now? Much of the talk is about Chris Grier and Mike McDaniel. They share the latest on injuries, and touch upon the upcoming game at home versus the Titans. The tail end of the podcast has the “One cool thing” segment, which is always positive!

Alex and Scott get into the studio on a Tuesday afternoon to catch up on what’s happening with the Dolphins. They briefly discuss the Jags game before digging a little deeper into the Thursday night debacle against the Bills. They dig into the Tua situation and share their thoughts and wisdom. Coaching, and even more so, the GM of the team receives the brunt of their focus. What will happen in Seattle this weekend? The Dolphins are broken, and patience is expiring. How can this franchise ever reach the promise land? They have thoughts on this season and beyond. Listen in to be a part of the conversation.

In our second “lost” episode, Alex, Scott and Alejandro discuss the 2024 draft class and UDFA’s. Jando does some of his best analysis around the draft and it really shows here. Alex gets a little salty over Chop Robinson and our disagreements are all in fun. You’ll hear Jando’s sarcasm come out in response to his dad. It’s such a joy to hear his voice one more time, and remember everything about the person behind it. I hope you listen and get some of that from it too.

This episode is part 1 of the publication of 2 lost episodes. It covers the Dolphins Free agency moves of 2024. It’s an important listen, even now, months later. It is a tribute to Alejandro “Jando” Saenz, who we lost in August. Alex and Scott plan to continue the podcast this year, but are navigating the loss of his son, our friend and podcast partner, and are delayed from our usual cadence. It’s early March and the Dolphins are still the second worst over the cap team. There’s a lot of tap dancing to be done with money, players, and contracts in the next few days.
