This week we discuss an event in our state that happens once a year called PA Day on the Hill where PAs get to talk to legislators about bills that influence PA practice and the future for the profession.  We also discuss the topic of chest pain in this episode from the primary care, urgent care, and the emergency room viewpoints.

This week we discuss two of our rotations we have both completed so far.  We compare and contrast our experiences of inpatient vs. outpatient internal medicine.  We also discuss differences in family medicine in the clinic setting and in the urgent care setting. Listen along as we share what to expect on each of these foundational rotations!

Join us as we share the best jobs to get medical experience before applying to professional schools!  While there are hundreds of jobs in healthcare, these are some the ones that are able to be done while in high school and college to get great patient care hours and learn how clinics, nursing homes, and hospitals work.  Also, we encourage you to volunteer as often as you can before applying to professional schools and while in your programs as well.
