This week we discuss how to decide what area of medicine you might want to work in.  The experiences leading up to school can be invaluable to help with this.  Also thinking about your tendencies will help guide your decision about the environment you want to be in each day.  Listen along with us!

This week we discuss an event in our state that happens once a year called PA Day on the Hill where PAs get to talk to legislators about bills that influence PA practice and the future for the profession.  We also discuss the topic of chest pain in this episode from the primary care, urgent care, and the emergency room viewpoints.

This week we discuss some of our rotations we have both completed so far.  We compare and contrast our experiences of inpatient vs. outpatient internal medicine. Listen along as we share what to expect on each of these foundational rotations!

Join us as we share the best jobs to get medical experience before applying to professional schools!  While there are hundreds of jobs in healthcare, these are some the ones that are able to be done while in high school and college to get great patient care hours and learn how clinics, nursing homes, and hospitals work.  Also, we encourage you to volunteer as often as you can before applying to professional schools and while in your programs as well.

This week on the Podcast is special because there is a guest who joins us as we discuss the road to getting into PA and professional school.  A fellow student, Karrington, joins the discussion about our tips and tricks for what to do in high school and college to successfully apply to graduate programs.
