Ahh.. dating. We’ve all experienced the ups and downs of dating. When you giggle like an idiot reading his texts, stay up way past midnight to talk to him on the phone, when life feels like a Drew Barrymore rom-com. That excitement of flirting with that cute guy you swiped right for, looking for excuses just to start a conversation with him, bringing him up in every conversation with your friends, that rush you feel when he first held your hand and kissed you…

WAKE UP! WAKE UP!

Kids, dating can be fun and dreamy, but they can also be disasters waiting to happen! Love is supposed to be easy, but the dating game can be more complicated than chess. In this episode, we talked about our journey to find McDreamy. We discussed the men we’ve dated, from horror stories to embarrassingly funny ones! We talked about dating etiquette, dating again after a break up, online dating, and what NOT to do on dates.

In this episode, two pills shared their breakup stories and how they survived the heartbreaks. We talked about the dumb things we have done to get attention from our exes, the social media stalking with our FBI friends, the find-myself self-reflection cliche, and the grieving process before moving on.

Breakups are tough, but breaking up during a pandemic, HA! Can you imagine crying under the mask and gasping for air at the same time? Yes, you want to be the drama queen and cut your hair short, but guess what, hairdressers are closed! Food heals all wounds right? But no, restaurants are closed! You cant even travel anywhere!

If you are going through a breakup during this already challenging time, you are not alone! We are here for you!

They say missing someone gets easier everyday because even though you are one day away from the last time you saw them, you are one day closer to the next time you will. Hmm…

Even with the advancement of technology, long distance relationship is still no easy matter. It takes a lot of commitment and hard work. And not to mention, a heck load of trust. We feel you, sisters and brothers.

We’d like to keep things interesting and introduce you to one of our dear friend, Chee Wei Chen (@cheeweichen) in this episode. She is a fellow Queen’s alum, hence we have known Chee Wei since our early university years. She has, also, throughout her university years and until now, been in a long distance relationship with her boyfriend. She has kindly agreed to join us in this episode to talk about how they have successfully thrived in a long distance relationship and are very much still in love (awww). She shared the highs and lows of her relationship and got very personal with us about the challenges she faced. Let’s just say.. she makes us believe in true love *heart eyes emoji*

Second, we want to inspire you to go out there! .. when you’re allowed to, of course! We also share the less-than-fun incidents that have happened to us during our holidays and hope you can learn from us.

We strongly believe that friends are the family that you choose for yourselves. Therefore, they are an important part of our lives. BFF, right? We form bonds with our friends that are so unique and strong, we build a secondary family while being away from home. These friendships are so precious to us, but some of our friends chose to move back home after university. Keeping the friendships going ain’t easy - especially when you throw in time differences and distance into the mix. We are definitely not strangers to long distance friendships, and our friends are too important for us to just let go.

In this episode, we discuss the meaning of friendship to us, loyalty, how our friendship has changed throughout the years, our experiences with toxic friendships, the challenges we faced with long distance friendships, what we do to keep in touch (with the nice ones lol), and how we deal with not having our best friends geographically close to us.
