Two Rivers Community Church of the Nazarene

How does this "crisis" over a ban on refugees affect my life? What, if anything, should I do or say?

Are you opening up your backpack? If not, why not?

Our God is a god of justice. What does that mean? And, how does it impact how I live my life in Christ?

The turn of the year is always a good time for reflecting on the past and looking toward the future. As Christians, it's good for us to do the same with our relationship with God. (Note: A photo of the display to which Pastor Bob refers in the sermon has been uploaded as a PDF. Feel free to download it and look at it as you listen to the sermon.)

Haven't we blown it? Is it really possible that God will overlook all of our sins and rebellion? Can we really expect God to welcome us with open arms regardless of what we've done?

The comfort of Advent is the fact that God cares for God's people.

What does this passage have to do with the Advent of Christ?

Buckle up and hold on. We're in for a bumpy ride. Oh, and are you wearing your safety pin? It's important that you do!

When your world is crashing in... When your enemies have you surrounded... When the fear-filled bile rises up in your throat... What do you do? How do you find solid ground to stand on? (Note: The sermon to which Pastor Sugden referred can be found at https://www.ccel.org/contrib/exec_outlines/text/isa33_5.htm )

There are only 9 days left until the US election. What should I as a Christian be doing to prepare for this? (Note #1: At the end of the sermon, Pastor Sugden played a video recording of David Archuleta singing "God Bless the USA." We do not own the copyright to this recording. The recording can be found at the following link: https://youtu.be/BnDaV3l4Wjw ) (Note #2: The list of scripture references can be found in the attached PDF.)
