The call of Christ and His church is offered to the unworthy sinner. For those who consider themselves worthy, they will neither hear His call nor extend it to others. 1. The faith that follows Christ in his footsteps sets its hope in the power and authority of God to provide, not in our ability to preserve.

The mission of the church is to bear witness to the resurrection of Jesus with the Scriptures, the saints, and the Spirit that sinners may share in that resurrection life through faith. 1.
