Every man eventually stands where the crowd stood that day. We are all presented with two paths. One leads toward self, sin, and pride—the wide road that feels easy because everyone else is walking it. The other path leads to Christ. It requires surrender, humility, and obedience. It is narrow, often lonely, but it leads to life.

In today’s devotional, we look at the pivotal moment in Matthew 27:21-22 where the crowd rejected the Savior for temporary satisfaction. We face that same decision every single day. Will you choose your kingdom or His? Your comfort or His calling? Your will or His?

Identify one area where you’ve been choosing your own way over God’s. Repent today, and intentionally choose obedience in that area.
