Are you ready for some football!?! The time has come to see grown men smash into each other at 30mph and cause permanent damage to their bodies for our entertainment. Will and Miranda are celebrating by watching the Sandra Bullock Oscar winning film, The Blind Side. Wait...it is a football movie right? Like it has a bunch of football scenes in it and cool stunts and stuff. Oh it only has 20 minutes of football in it. Okay, well at least it is like a football movie and isn't going to make me cry right? Oh, it is a touching story about a young man finding a family and gaining the strength to better himself and become a professional football player. Cool...cool...no I'm not crying at all. Whatever! Just listen to the dumb podcast about this extremely touching and moving story.

I'm sure you know by now Will and Miranda are talking about the horror classic that revitalized the genre in the early 90's: Scream. The film where Drew Berrymore only makes it to the 12 minute mark before being brutally murdered and hung in a tree. Really a classic for the entire family to enjoy. Simon Pegg has been waiting for so long for Will and Miranda to talk about the classic buddy cop film Hot Fuzz. In this episode not only are they diving into a movie made as if M. Night Shyamalan decided he wanted to make a very British comedy; they also are trying out a new format. No more talking about the film scene by scene, now they have a conversation about each piece that goes into creating a film. Especially if that film is one of the most ridiculous cop movies that has ever been made. We love gore, we love comedy, we love dry British humor, and we love making fun of cops. This one goes out to all the middle aged dad's out there. Oh yeah we are finally doing a WW2 movie! That's right blood, guts, brotherhood; it is everything you want in a good old fashion war movie. Wait...it isn't a war movie? But, Rotten Tomatoes said that it was a war movie and that's it. You know like Saving Private Ryan, and I saw in the trailer that Hitler and Nazi's are in it. IT IS A COMEDY!?!? Well Miranda and Will seemed to really like it, and it was directed by Taika Waititi so it must be good. He plays Hitler too? Okay they might know what they are talking about with this one. I guess this one goes out to anybody who wants a heart warming story with some comedy and crying on the side.

Disney strikes again here on TTP with a classic from 2003, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. Possibly one of the weirdest concepts for a movie ever. "Hey Mr. Disney I have been thinking about the amusement park ride we have." the producer said. Mr. Disney sat up a bit tall and spoke " You mean It's a Small World?" "No...." the producer said in confusion. "Oh then you must mean my favorite ride ever the Tower of Terror!" Mr. Disney said with a whimsical glint in his eye. "No sir, I am talking about Pirates of the Caribbean" the producer said in a stern but gentle voice. "I want to turn that ride into one of the most successful movie franchises to ever grace cinema!" "Oh...okay...I mean I think Tomorrow Land would be better, but whatever you want." Here is $140,000,000 have fun!" Thus one of the greatest pirate movies of all time was born and brought into this world. Cosplay, Time Square, and Hollywood Boulevard would forever be changed by the insane character that was created by Johnny Depp. Miranda and Will had so much fun in fact, that this is only part one of a two part series on Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.

WOOHOO we made it episode 20! Holy crap we actually did this thing to week 20. You know what they say, if you make it to episode 20 then you will stay around for episode 800. Im sure somebody has said that...at some point. Anywho Will and Miranda are back onto the RomCom scene with the most successful romantic comedy to date, Crazy Rich Asians. Yes I know what you are thinking; "great I get to listen to two white people talk about a movie that is an all Asian cast talking about the culture of Singapore and Asian Americans". Well you're not wrong that is what happens, but I promise they try their best to not sound super white (they are so white). This movie is just too good to pass up on talking about so here we go! They really do try their best...I promise.

Hey we were just calling to see if you would like to join us out in Arizona for our spring training episode. No this isn't a joke...no this isn't the Yankees either. Miranda and Will are sliding into another late 80's classic and their first sports movie Major League. A baseball comedy that was truly made for baseball fans, and Will's favorite baseball movie (even if it is about the Indians and not the Cubs). So gather up all your hats for bats and listen to America's new pastime, movie podcast! You don't think it will replace baseball? Only time will tell, maybe we are aiming just a little TOO HIGH.

BA DUM TCH...BA DUM TCH...BA DUM BA DA DUM !!! Did that come through the text what I was going for there? Could you tell it was the James Bond theme? I mean it is cool if you didn't, I didn't try really hard to come up with a good opening bit or anything. Oh well, Miranda and Will are setting off with 007 in this original James Bond story. He may be getting old but he is definitely still the suave, sexy spy we all know and love.
