After high school Jesus Torres picked up some tree work with a friend and got his first experience watching a climber make some cuts. From then on he knew he wanted to be in this high adrenaline field and sought out a mentor to set him on his path.

Anthony Pedro and Steven Greene both learned the trade of fire fighting while incarcerated. After being released Anthony applied to a local fire department and was lucky enough to interview with someone who decided to give him a second chance. Anthony’s story is unique as many individuals that come from non-traditional backgrounds and/or that have been in the prison system have trouble getting hired.
