  • The Man of Screen Podcast Episode 181 - Superboy: Johnny Csanova and the Case of the Secret Serum/The Woman Called Tiger Eye
In episode 181 of the Man of Screen podcast, Mike Zummo will complete his coverage of the second season of the Salkind-produced Superboy television show with what could have been better episodes to go out on.
First, were going to run into a perfect tennis player with an imperfect brother. No, not that kind of imperfect, but criminally imperfect. So anyway, he dies and leaves something behind and with a swig the perfect tennis player becomes his outlandish but yet charming “Casanova”.
Will the laughs last or will Superboy solve the mystery of “Johnny Casanova and the Case of the Secret Serum”?
Now were going to deal with some witchcraft and of course Lanas going to get caught up in it. What happens to he? She gets turned into a snake for her trouble so will Superboy do what is requested of him?
How will the Boy of Steel cope with “The Woman Called Tiger Eye”?
Next time: There will be changes for the show and we will see the return of some familiar foes with the two-port “The Bride of Bizarro”.

  • Fallen Walls Open Curtains Episode 5
t's the fifth chapter in a podcast miniseries that looks at the fall of the Iron Curtain and the popular culture of the Cold War. To start us off, I look at what happened in Eastern Europe from September to November 1990 with a special focus on the roles that corporate America and pop music played in the end of the Cold War. Then, the discussion turns to sports; specifically, the Olympics with a spotlight on the controversial 1972 men's basketball final, The Miracle on Ice, and the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics.
