Two True Freaks

In what is now an annual Pop Culture Affidavit tradition, it's time for us to celebrate Festivus, the holiday that is for the rest of us! This year, I'm joined for the airing of grievances and the feats of strength by The Irredeemable Shag. We complain about fandom and other things that irritate us and then follow that up by looking at War Dancer #4, which was published in 1994 by Defiant Comics.

Merry Christmas from Is It Jaws! This time out Paul breaks format to present a Top 5 list of favorite Christmas Movies of Specials. While Paul is fairly traditional in his choices, he had two guests who are more willing to stretch the definition of "Christmas Movie", which makes for some fun lists. Listen in and Have Yourself a Geeky Little Christmas!!

Paul, Scott and Bill are together for a traditional episode where they look at three random books. Bill's couldn't have been more random!!

Books Covered: Captain Marvel ##17 (10/69), Superman #255 (8/72) & Fatman, The Human Flying Saucer (4/67)

In episode 21 of Man of Screen Extra, Mike Zummo looks at the CW crossover event, “Elseworlds,” which recently took place over the course of three nights on the CW.

This time Superman was featured in the three episodes and Mike discusses how he thought Superman came across in this three-part event.

You might be surprised at his answer.

Next time: The annual Christmas episode, Mike will cover the 1984 film, “A Christmas Carol”, starring George C. Scott and a Superman: The Movie alum, and a future Lois and Clark guest star.

It's that special time of year, when the weather starts getting chilly (or rainy), the days start getting shorter (and, paradoxically, longer), and brightly costumed heroes come together to learn the spirit of the season. That's right, it's another Power Rangers Christmas special here on Earth Destruction Directive! In Super Samurai's "Stuck on Christmas," our heroes are, well, stuck! So what better way to pass the time than with a clip show! Can this offering top the previous Samurai Christmas Clipshow? (Spoilers: Yes!) So grab yourself a steaming hot mug of something festive and enjoy the recycled goodness of this "Mini Christmas Miracle!" Pull up a chair and put the 2nd STAR TREK pilot, WHERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE on the TV and put your earbuds on. It's Christmas Commentary Time! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Well, we're still kicking! Join the boys as they play catch up and mull over the recent title teaser for Season 3 of Stranger Things! What do we think it all means...? Since the very beginning, Ben Sisko has rejected being The Emissary. So, what happens when destiny comes knocking on his door with a hidden city, and an electric shock from a holosuite?

That is what Paul, Bill, Dave, and Andrew find out, as they watch another episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and they take you along for the ride.

Plus: Do not miss the special treat that Andy and Dr. Bill have cooked up for this episode. It's sure to be a classic holiday hit for the ages.

For the last episode before Christmas, I sit down an watch "A Garfield Christmas" from 1987.
