• AMC Entertainment (AMC) - A play on company CEO Adam Aron hinting at an upcoming catalyst within the next month or so. On Thursday, Aron tweeted a comment targeted at the retail investing crowd. Some investors believe the tweet could point to a possible upcoming short squeeze in AMC stock.
• Occidental Petroleum (OXY) - A favorite by legendary investor Warren Buffett. Over the last two weeks, Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway increased its stake in Occidental by about 20 million shares. Berkshire's total stake in Occidental now sits at around 175 million shares, or about $11 billion.
• Spotify (SPOT) - A play on increasing competition in the podcast space. On Thursday, a report suggested Twitter (TWTR) is working on an in-app podcast player.
• Delta Airlines (DAL) - The company will kick off the Q2 earnings season for airline companies next week. Delta will report quarterly results on Wednesday before market open.
• SIGA Technologies (SIGA) - A stock discussed in Benzinga Pro's #swimmers chat room Friday morning. Shares were up about 4% to over the $14 level in pre-market action following news the company's pox treatment received approval in the United Kingdom.
